Dominic Toretto said in the original "The Fast and the Furious" movie, "I live my life a quarter mile at a time. Nothing else matters: not the mortgage, not the store, not my team and all their bull. For those ten seconds or less, I'm free."
There is something exhilarating about driving faster than the legal speed limit on the open road, but unfortunately it is illegal. Playground Games and Tune 10 Studios' upcoming, open world racing video game will allow gamers to simulate their need for speed in the safety of their own homes.
Forza Horizon will be part of Turn 10 Studios' long-running Forza Motorsport franchise, but is considered a spin-off of the franchise rather than a true member of the series. The game will be released on Oct. 23, for the Xbox 360, but gamers will get to test the drive the new racer on Oct. 9 when the game's demo will be available for download on Xbox Live.
The studio released a brand new trailer featuring gameplay footage to celebrate the upcoming release of the game and to announce the release date of the demo. Racing enthusiast who download the demo and purchase the full game will receive a custom 2013 SRT Viper GTS as an added bonus. According to Forza's official site, "this rare liveried car will only be available to those who download the demo and purchase and play the game online."
"Forza Horizon demo is designed to give you a taste of the automotive action that will be the throughout the game, according to the site. "In the demo, players will get a chance to experience the Colorado of "Forza Horizon", driving a number of different cars across a variety of different event types - from Horizon Festival events taking place in the dusty, dirt roads of the upper hills - to a climactic street race that find players winding up, around, and over the Finley Dam."
