As a game, “Pokemon Go” has an ultimate goal – reach the max cap level. Most players now that this is set at 40 and no one knows what will happen once it is achieved. Played the normal way, it may take some time before gamers find out.
Then again, the ones who resort to some alternative ways (some call it cheating their way up) can find that out faster. And there is one who did just that, someone who goes by the name “Luca”.
The achievement’s rewards
Luca, who goes by the handle “_Problemz” on Reddit revealed what lies ahead once “Pokemon Go” players reach the max level cap of 40. Folks who reach that level will receive a ton of goodies.
That would include 40 Ultraballs, 40 Max Potions, 40 Max Revives, 40 Razz Berries, four Incense, four Incubators, and four Lure Modules. He also got four Lucky Eggs, an item that doubles XP received for a half-hour, as detailed by Game Spot.
With those collected, Luca has no further use for them though the landscape could change if the cap level is eventually increased. Right now there is no confirmation if such will eventually happen. And even if it is in the plans, it could take some time before game developers apply it.
How did Luca do it?
Seeing how players have gone and tried various measures to work around “Pokemon Go”, Luca did the trick using a bot. This tactic was not easy considering players needed to accumulate 50,000 XP a day to get to the max level.
For those wondering how to jack up their XP, Niantic suggests resorting to trading Pokemon. Players can aggressively add new Pokemon to their Pokedex but exchanging is advised as a better way to advance.
With the cat out of the bag, it remains to be seen which “Pokemon Go” player can achieve the feat the legit way. Hence, it is still a race though it may all be for distinction now over game rewards.
