Although there is no definite air date yet for "Outlander" Season 3, fans are now anticipating the future of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe). The upcoming season said to continue where Season 2 ended, showing the couple still apart from each other.
A Separated Jamie & Claire
"Outlander" Season 3 will be based on Diana Gabaldon's "Voyager" and the author confirmed that Claire and Jamie will be seen separated. "Claire in the 20th century but 20 years on from where we left her and Jamie, of course, is still back in the 18th century but we pick him up immediately from where we last saw him which is here [at Culloden]," the 64-year-old writer told STV.
Diana Gabaldon also added that "Outlander" Season 3 will feature three different stories aside from Claire and Jaime. It will even tell the tale of Brianna (Sophie Skelton), who will become a major character as the American-British television series continues. She, too, hinted that there will be a reunion, which will be held in 1866, happening in the third installment of the show back to the sequential form of storytelling.
A 'Completely Different Show'
Meanwhile, Sam Heughan teased that the coming "Outlander" Season 3 will be a "completely different show" and far "most interesting." He also disclosed that people behind the TV series are now busy preparing for the setting of the stage. The 36-year-old star also mentioned that they, too, are contained of how they will introduce the characters as they are now going into "new, different worlds."
As per the Variety, Sam Heughan also revealed the fate of Jamie and Claire got separated as the latter traveled to the future using the stones. "We won't actually see what happens to Jamie after she's gone through the stones until the next season," the Scottish actor explained while being tight-lipped. There are also swirling assumptions that the British hunk is about to bear a different appearance.
