Nordic Games officially announced that "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" will launch soon. The exact release date is yet to be confirmed, but the upcoming version will reportedly be a remaster of the original "Darksiders" game.
"Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" is expected to feature several improvements in its graphics, similar to the enhancements done on "Darksiders 2: Deathnitive Edition." The upcoming remastered take will include a native 1080p resolution, post processing effects, rendering enhancements, improved shadow rendering, overall doubling of texture resolutions and 60 FPS gameplay.
"Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" will be available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Wii U and PC. The Wii U version will reportedly run at 30 FPS. GamingBolt wrote that the story of "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" will exactly be the same as in the original game.
War is the main focus, a character who struggles with the Apocalypse, as well as other forces and characters who try to control him in various situations. The original game was launched in January 2010, but the game has remained popular among players through the years.
"Darksiders: Warmastered Edition" is expected to rekindle the passion of fans in the franchise. The enhanced editions of the first two games may be a strategy by Nordic Games to re-introduce the story and characters in preparation for the release of "Darksiders 3."
VG247 revealed that aside from "Darksiders" remastered versions, there are also rumors that Nordic Games is planning to release a "Destroy All Humans" remastered edition or sequel. Game designer ReinhardPollice mentioned that he is interested in making a new "DAH" game, since he wanted to introduce more elements and build on the new technology. He also did not like the idea of letting the franchise end the way it did in the first game.
While gamers continue to wait on the rumored "Darksiders 3," they can enjoy the graphically enhanced "Darksiders: Warmastered Edition." The official launch date is expected to be announced soon.
