According to CBC News, the show's creator noted the magic between Lauren Graham and Melissa McCarthy's characters. McCarthy, who is recently lauded for her role in "Ghostbusters," played the role of Sookie in "Gilmore Girls" from 2000-2006.
Years have passed since the last episode of "Gilmore Girls" aired and the cast and crew of the said TV show have parted ways as well. However, Lauren Graham, who plays the role of Lorelai, said that the cast was more than happy when they got reunited on the set.
