The latest update for Star Wars: The Old Republic is now available, according to a post on the game's official site.
The new update offers new content including Operation: Terror from Beyond, which takes players to the remote world of Asation, a swamp planet colonized and largely abandoned by the Gree. On this planet the mysterious Sith Lords known as the Dread Masters have found a way to unlock the ancient Gree Hypergate.
Behind this gate lies an unknown place and an unspeakable horror that now threatens and endangers the entire galaxy. The player must take up the mission to close the portal "before it's too late and to destroy whatever gets through."
The boss show in early images and videos of the new mission appears to be larger in scale than any previous beast seen in the MMORPG.
Update 1.4 also adds new weapons and armor, to upgrade your characters' effectiveness and appearance. And will include the Legendary Dread Guard gear. The update will also improved Group Finder by letting gamers join a group for an Operation or Flashpoint and return to their previous location when the mission is completed.
Unify Colors for Companions allows you to select an option to match all your companion's gear to his or her chest piece for a more stylish look. And the update will include new 'Facial Expression' or Emotes which are a new set of slash commands that allow players to set their character's expression.
Terror From Beyond also includes a number of minor bug fixes including fixing the Galactic Trade Newtwork, which is now fully functional, according to the site.
Star Wars: The Old Republic was released for the Microsoft Windows platform on December 20, 2011 in North America and part of Europe. BioWare will soon be adding a new Free-to-Play option.
