Without a doubt "Pokemon GO" is the hottest game right now. And it seems that developers have cooked up a brilliant strategy to ensure the success of another future Pokemon game. If devs have their way, a linkage feature could be worked out between "Pokemon GO" and "Pokemon Sun and Moon."
Latest reports that this could be the route Nintendo intends to take to ensure a spillover effect on the insane success of its "Pokemon GO" mobile game. A link feature between the upcoming 3DS games "Pokemon Sun and Moon" and "Pokemon GO" is now being mulled by developer Gamer Freak, reports Nintendo Everything.
Clearly, the kinks need to be worked out first before such featured have to be introduced. For instance, the two games have vastly different gameplay and linking "Pokemon GO" and the upcoming titles "Pokemon Sun and Moon" could prove to be tricky.
Devs must find a way to make the linkage feature enhance the gaming experience for both "Pokemon GO" and "Pokemon Sun and Moon." Otherwise, the linkage could disrupt the balance in both games, which could make them lose their appeal to gamers.
Regardless of what type of link devs might introduce in the future, there is one thing players of both the mobile "Pokemon GO" and the 3DS titles "Pokemon Sun and Moon" may reasonable expect. The Bit Bag predicts that not all types of Pokemon might be available for both games.
It has something to do with the generation of Pokemon available in the either games. For instance, the upcoming "Pokemon Sun and Moon" is the latest title in the series which is touted to already include seventh generation Pokemon when its release date arrives later this year.
On the other hand, the mobile "Pokemon GO" contains only first generation Pokemon. In fact, the game does not yet contain legendaries. As a result, it might take some time before the mobile version can catch up with the type of Pokemon being offered on "Pokemon Sun and Moon."
