'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Air Date, Spoilers & Filming Updates: Actors Spotted On Planes To Belfast

'Game of Thrones' Season 7 Air Date, Spoilers & Filming Updates: Actors Spotted On Planes To Belfast

The seventh season of "Game of Thrones" has not started filming yet, although cast and crew members are already in the preparation stage.

The production featured a Game of Thronesbehind-the-scenes video at San Diego Comic-Con 2016, which showed the team busy preparing the props. There was a lot of reference to the Lannisters, particularly Cersei (Lena Headey) who was recently proclaimed queen of the seven kingdoms.

WinterisComing cited Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth) in saying at the Game of Thronesevent that they will begin filming in about five weeks.

WatchersontheWall stated that a couple of actors who were not present at SDCC were spotted traveling from Heathrow airport in London to Belfast, which is the center of the Game of Thrones production. Brienne of Tarth (Gwendoline Christie) and Jorah Mormont (Iain Glen) were seen on planes headed towards Belfast.

Game of Thrones fans last saw Brienne traveling on a boat from Riverrun, away from Jaime Lannister (NikolajCoster-Waldau) and to the North where Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) is.

Glen, on the other hand, was last seen in "The Door" in Season 6. Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) last sent him away and ordered him to find a cure for the greyscale and return to her.

Spotting the actor going back into Game of Thrones production will most likely mean that Jorah will be reunited with Daenerys again, although it is still uncertain in what form. He may even be killed off in "Game of Thrones" Season 7.

According to Claire McGowan, a creative writing lecturer who spotted theGame of Thrones actors, Glen was reading a script. At SDCC, however, Cunningham said that they have not received scripts yet. Glen may either have gotten the script early or reading a script for another TV or movie role.

International Business Times reported that Northern Ireland will be the main base for "Game of Thrones" Season 7, although filming is also set to happen in Spain and Iceland. Previously, production has been divided into two teams, referred to as the Dragon and Wolf units.

The story of the seventh Game of Thrones season will focus on Westeros only. There are also rumors that Daario Naharis (Michiel Huisman) will return next year. He was last seen with Daenerys where the latter ended their relationship as she sets her sights on taking over Westeros.

Some Game of Thrones executives reportedly went to Italica in Rome. They were allegedly interested in filming an action sequence in an amphitheater, quite similar to the Fighting Pit of Meereen.

"Game of Thrones" Season 7 will air in 2017 on HBO.
