The Nintendo NX has been touted to be Nintendo’s big ticket back into the game console frenzy though it has been keenly kept under wraps. It was a not show at the E3 though company executives reasoned that such was to prevent ‘copycats’ from stealing their new offering.
This was covered in a previous post here on Game N Guide. A question worth noting at the time was who Nintendo was referring to. Was it Sony and Microsoft or the gray market?
Regardless, such jacked up expectations to another level with most anticipating a powerful and display-hungry console to get Nintendo back in the game. Much of that seemed to be in line with this report from Eurogamer though the graphic part has left many thinking.
Nintendo NX will be mobile and portable
The Nintendo NX will be portable and come with detachable controllers per Eurogamer. It will be a high-powered handheld with a detachable screen.
It can be hooked up to TV sets for better game play views, will make use of game cartridges and bank on Nvidia’s powerful Tegra mobile processors for efficient display rendering.
How powerful will the Nintendo NX be?
With Nvidia Tegra mobile processors on board, it seems safe to assume that Nintendo has an efficient portable to offer. Seeing however that the company needs to integrate all that stuff into the device, varying questions tied up to size, battery life and its actual power level come to mind.
Forbes lists down a couple of these queries on the Nintendo NX, including a general question on whether the company can thrive with an assumed lone product to ramp up their revenue?
Pricing is also a bit question that many are contemplating. With a plethora of impressive and powerful specs, the pricing standpoint is something worth thinking of.
It is touch and go right now for Nintendo and the fans awaiting the Nintendo NX. It could be shown this September, ahead of its scheduled debut in March, 2017. Will the company finally shed more light on their big ticket before the big launch?
