There won't be any "Destiny" downtime, but players will have to download the latest update from Bungie in order to avoid getting kicked out from the game.
The update 3.2.1 gave little information on what it does to the game, but players are required to download the patch within four hours after the notification came. Otherwise, according to VG247, players will be automatically logged out and receive the WEASEL error code.
Given how Bungie gave limited details about the update, players can expect it to be minor and won't see any new features coming to the game. Bungie and Activision also said that, the "Destiny" update 3.2.1 will be the last update on the Xbox 360 and PS3 platforms. Fortunately, for players who will remain on the last-gen consoles, Bungie will continue to provide immediate fixes for the game.
Reports suggests that, while the game will continue to receive its weekly and monthly updating, don't expect some new maps coming in. After Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner, "Destiny" might just be the game that has frozen in time.
The Xbox One and PS4 version of "Destiny" is scheduled to arrive on the 20th of September and according to Bungie, the update 3.2.1.0 will pave the way of Rise of Iron.
