“Sherlock” was another team present at the San Diego Comic Convention 2016 and the show teased off a trailer as most film-related groups. “Sherlock” Season 4 is set for 2017 where it is believed that the new episodes are likely to pick off from last season.
Three 90-minute episodes comprise “Sherlock” Season 4 with Toby Jones being primed as the big bad villain. Pegged to be the darkest installment yet, questions tied up to Moriarty have not entirely died down.
While those revelations are helpful, the potential spoilers come in the form of three names – “Thatcher”, “Smith” and “Sherrinford”. The reps for “Sherlock” Season 4 didn’t expound much on what these meant which means that it is guessing time once more.
Password or “Margaret Thatcher”
Screen Rant has come up with its round of "Sherlock" Season 4 speculations and the first one is a bit tricky. “Thatcher” immediately calls to mind the former British Prime Minister which may hint at yet another flashback to that era.
If not, “Thatcher” is also associated as a password used on “The Hounds of Baskerville” on Sherlock season 2. So, there could be a connection. Let's see in "Sherlock" Season 4.
A villain named “Smith”?
Smith is a pretty common British last name but as far as the series is concerned, the prowl on villains using the name comes to mind. One name stands out – “Culverton Smith” – an actual character from the Arthur Conan Doyle original Sherlock Holmes stories. Could he be the new villain in "Sherlock" Season 4?

Tom Hiddleston comes to mind again with the actor up for consideration to take on the role of “Sherrinford" in "Sherlock" Season 4.

The three names are the latest big clues to “Sherlock” Season 4 though the speculations made are technically unofficial. More takes are expected to crop up moving forward.
