Mobile vehicular combat is back in the latest Spy Hunter trailer from Warner Bros. shows the updated G-6155 Interceptor supercar speeding, firing at enemies with missiles, and using bunch of cool gadgets. The upgraded red sports car is equipped with roof-mounted machine guns and side-mounted missiles.

According to the trailer the G-6155 Interceptor isn't the only vehicles in the game with upgrades. The enemies and their weapons are just as advance and outlandish as you can imagine for the enemies of secret agents. The video shows helicopters and cars equipped with blades, machine guns and missiles.

In the trailer, the Interceptor transforms from supercar to off-road assault vehicle to aquatic vessel, giving a new meaning to all terrain vehicle. The Agent will also have the ability to call for additional support in the form of an unmanned aerial support drone.

The game is being developed by TT Fusion, a studio that has ported several titles to the Nintendo DS and 3DS, including LEGO Batman, LEGO Harry Potter: Years 5-7.

The original Spy Hunter is a 1983 cabinet-style arcade game developed Bally Midway. The game's controls consist of a steering wheel in the form of a futuristic aircraft-style design with several special buttons, a two-position stick shift and a pedal used for acceleration. In 2001 the game had its first remake and featured a plot centered on Alec Sects, a F-15 pilot who was trained by the FBI. He is trying to stop Nostra, an Israeli-based international company that produces food products, bio-chemicals, genetics, e-commerce and children's software.

The new reboot of Spy Hunter releases on Oct. 9 for the 3DS and the PlayStation Vita. Watch the trailer below....
