So, remember those characters that a couple of gamers found after data mining their Tekken Tag Tournament 2 disc? They'll be coming to XBox 360 and PS3 gamers relatively soon. But for those who'll be buying Tekken Tag Tournament 2 for the Nintendo Wii U, all those characters will be available when the game's launch.
Lili's butler Sebastian, Miharu Hirano, Dr. Boskonovitch, thin Bob, Violet, and the boss of Tekken Tag Tournament 1 and 2, Unknown, are all coming to Namco Bandai's newest fighter. Should make for some more interesting costume possibilities. From a recent trailer, we've seen Anna as Zero Suit Samus, Asuka as Zelda, Heihachi as Mario, Jin Kazama as Link, Alex as Bowser (though I think a Yoshi costume would be more appropriate) or Lee Chaolan as Fox McCloud. I could really see Sebastian or Dr. B as the old man in the cave from the original Legend of Zelda, but maybe that's just me.
Tekken game director Katushiro Harada didn't specify whether or not the recently announced levels (Russia, Saudi Arabia, Chile, and a Magic Show) would also be available on the Wii U version, but I wouldn't be surprised if they were.
Thankfully, "none of them are paid DLC."
Factoring this new development, this brings the already bulging roster of Tekken Tag Tournament 2 to almost 60 characters total.
Out now for PS3 and XBox 360, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 is expected to be released on the Nintendo Wii U on November 18, 2012.
