Sony seems to have slowed down a bit following a big PlayStation Flash sale announced last week. For this week, there is only one game that is up for grabs – “Battleborn”.
The lone item on PlayStation Flash this week
Technically there are two versions of “Battleborn” gamers can get their hands on. This is the standard and deluxe edition. The standard game title will cost around $27 while the Digital Deluxe edition that comes with season pass content is pegged at $30.
The lone “Battleborn” title is a bit of a disappointment following the title releases which offered a handful of popular titles. As covered in a previous post, among the PS4 games available included “The Last of Us Remastered” at just $8, “Destiny: The Taken King” for $20 and “Battlefield 4” plus “Battlefield: Hardline” bundled for $20.
“Battleborn” discounted too soon?
For those who are unaware, “Battleborn” did launch just a couple of months ago. It comes as a surprise that the game has gotten a big price off though gamers will hardly care.
“Battleborn” added microtransaction features in June. This covered the ability to add skins and taunts through Platinum in-game currency which is bought with real money.
Despite the price slash, Game Spot reasons that it may be better to get hold of the “Battleborn” PC version since it offers a better deal. The game is stacked up with some other games in a special ‘Humble Bundle’ worth just $15.
The PlayStation Flash sale will run from July 22 to July 25. For the folks who may have the game already, the Season Pass remains at $19.99 which could be an option instead if they haven’t subscribed yet.
The reason behind this is the recent reveal of Gearbox who announced “Pendles”, the second of five free post-launch playable characters. The character will officially be available on Aug. 4 but Season Pass owners get early access this July 28.
