Sleeping Dogs DLC Packs Releasing Through The Month of October

Open world action-adventure video game, Sleeping Dogs will receive its first DLC pack in October. The Sleeping Dogs October DLC, content will be released in five packs throughout the month adding things like new races, vehicles and missions.

The first DLC offering will be the Street Racer Pack that includes a new Sting bike, a Dragon Character outfit that reduces gunfire damage, and three new race routes on the streets and rivers of Hong Kong.

The second DLC will be the SWAT Pack, which will add 20 new, replayable cop missions, alongside a unique SWAT outfit, van and four different mission types. The new Tactical Soldier Pack will offer players the most powerful weapons and armor in the game. The content also makes the Assault Rifle from the game's Funeral and Civil Discord missions available for use throughout the game.

Details on the Community Gift Pack are scarce but it will be completely free and contain a surprise for players. The game's first story-driven expansion will be revealed at this year's New York Comic Con on October 14.

Recently Producer Dan Sochan sat down with CVG and explained United Front's DLC plans. He spoke about not having enough time to include everything into the retail release and making the DLC a little less serious.

"We're really excited about working on the DLC for Sleeping Dogs, you know you sort of get to that point where the game was done and here's all the amazing stuff we didn't have time to do, it was just outside of the scope of the project, Sochan told CVG."The other fun thing about DLC is that in the main game, we try to keep things very true to Hong Kong, with its crime and drama and its gritty, realistic. But with DLC, we kind of think it's okay to go more over the top, to have fun with things a little bit more, even play with some of the stereotypes."
