"Steven Universe" finally made its comeback and viewers were delighted to watch a back-to-back special of the season 3 premiere on July 18. Two episodes titled "Steven Floats" and "Drop Beat Dad" were aired on Monday night and it was followed by "Mr. Greg" as scheduled, on July 19.
Th "Too Short to Ride" was the episode that aired yesterday, July 20, and tonight, "The New Lars" is up for broadcast. Five titles have aired so far and fans could not get enough of the show since it only runs for for less than 15 minutes per episode.
On "Steven Universe" premiere, the chubby main star found out by chance that he has a special power that allows him to float in the air. Steven discovered his ability when at one point, he was jumping out of happiness, then he floats all of a sudden. He tried to go back down to the ground but he cannot do it.
Steven does not have any idea where he got the power but now that he knew about it, he thought he can use it when fighting alongside the Crystal Gems. Although, he was tried to know where he got the power, the episode ended without giving details about it.
After the first five episodes of "Steven Universe" Season 3, Cartoon Network will give it a 3-day break. It will resume on July 25 with the "Restaurant Wars" episode. The show is airing daily so the new season is ending just after a short time, on Aug. 12. The rest of the titles until Aug. 1 have already been released, according to GameNGuide.
In the coming episodes, the new character named Bismuth is joining the cast as the blue Crystal Gem with rainbow-colored hair. In the preview, it appeared that the gang already know her, in fact, she was said to be one of those who fought to save the earth 5,000 years ago. Then again, it is not clear whether she will be in one episode only or will stay until the end of "Steven Universe" Season 3.
Lastly, fans may feel heartbroken as it is likely that there will be some deaths as a result of the Gems fighting the villains. Steven will also learn more about his mom as Pearl talked about her when he asked what she was like.
