It is unreliable that "Shrek" has a good run, but for such a time, many are wondering on whether the ogre character could still soar high in the upcoming "Shrek 5."
Although there are some big breaks relating to the comeback of "Shrek 5," on the big screen, there are still too many elements to consider for the comeback of the once successful animation film.
According to Comicbook, NBC Universal has been linked in rumors that it is releasing "Shrek 5" as a part of reviving its "Shrek" franchise. After spending $3.8 billion for the acquisition of DreamWorks Animation, the world of animation has turned its sights on bringing the funny, and unpredictable Ogre character that dominated the box office.
Moreover, according to the same report, if "Shrek 5" is release by 2019, it would surely spark the legacy of the epic franchise. As noted by the same post, Universal has also been noted to release another film titled "Shadows."
Screenrant also reports that DreamWorks failed to ratify its presence in the box office and it has affected other segments as well including "Shrek" which is why the decision of Universal is a positive factor for the fans and followers of the animation and witness "Shrek 5" onto the big screen once more.

Despite the desired date to release "Shrek 5" by 2019, it remains uncertain on whether the movie would finally push through or it would be cancelled halfway. In addition, if ever the movie does appears, the fans and followers would be thrilled to see Donkey and Princess Fiona back into the limelight again.
