Hollywood fans have been busy in the past several days taking the sides of Kanye West/Kim Kardashian and Taylor Swift. The Grammy winner's Instagram was filled with snake emojis after Kim Kardashian revealed that Taylor went back on her word with Kanye regarding his hit, "Famous."
The snake emojis on Taylor's Instagram account started after ex-boyfriend Calvin Harris ranted on Twitter how she leaked about writing the lyrics and coming up with the melody of his hit single "This Is What You Came For," featuring Rihanna.
Calvin wrote how Taylor and her team had to go so far out of their way just to try and make him look bad in his career. Katy Perry, Taylor's friend-turned-foe, also joined in, leaving a snake emoji that prompted numerous social media fans to create a snake emoji pit.
Vanity Fair noted that Kim Kardashian recently exposed the video of the controversial phone call between Kanye West and Taylor Swift.
The clip proved that the singer actually approved of the rapper's lyrics before it went public, but went back on her word and proceeded to bash him during her Grammy speech. Although Swift gained the sympathy of many at the time, Kim's huge revelation spawned several more snake emojis in her Instagram account.
Kim Kardashian joked about "National Snake Day" on Twitter, followed by a horde of snake emojis. A few days after, however, no snake emojis could be found anywhere on social media platforms.
At present, a user who attempts to post several snake emojis, connoting good or bad, will be told that the comment contains too many special characters and has to be edited. Instagram stated that it restricts certain content and actions to protect their community.
Users were advised to report a problem if they think that Instagram committed a mistake. Many of the snake emojis left in Taylor's account have even been replaced with hearts.
According to an Instagram spokesperson, they are always looking for better ways to help people stop spammy or from inappropriate comments on the site, such as a barrage of snake emojis.
Billboard wrote that on July 18, 2016, James Corden parodied the famed phone call between Kanye and Taylor on the "Late Late Show." In the video, Kanye initially shared the line involving Swift and Corden responded by asking whether Swift was still angry with him for what he did at the 2009 VMAs.
They proceeded to talk about vice presidential bet Mike Pence and nuts. The parody ended with Corden getting worried that Kanye may have recorded the whole conversation. Corden's account may fall victim to snake emojis next.
More updates and details on Taylor Swift and snake emojis are expected soon.
