According to the series executive, he is very much honored to have Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
Steven Moffat has also revealed that both Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman received their roles in "Sherlock" Season 4 to bring satisfy to their fans and not because of the fat paycheck offered to them. The executive producer has also stated the two lead stars of "Sherlock" Season 4 really love their roles.
Sources have claimed that Benedict Cumberbatch is definitely not going to film for another installment after "Sherlock" Season 4 as he is reportedly going to be busy working on the "Doctor's Strange" movie. Also, Martin Freeman is expected to shoot for the "Black Panther" movie.
Though these reports could likely be true, neither Benedict Cumberbatch nor Martin Freeman has confirmed anything as of yet. Hence, "Sherlock" Season 4 fans should take these rumors with a grain of salt until proven true.

In the same interview with The Telegraph, Steven Moffat has also addressed the reports about "Sherlock" Season 4 being the last and final installment of the series. He said that he does not know until when the show will be airing for its avid fans.
"I'm personally willing but I'm hardly the main draw," "Sherlock" Season 4 executive producer Steven Moffat told The Telegraph. "I would be moderately surprised if this was the last time we ever made this show."
