Your day today should be spent getting ready for tomorrow's arrival of Gearbox's heavily anticipated RPG-shooter, Borderlands 2. And to get you completely jacked, Gearbox has one more trailer to get you pumped. Wach it below!
It's beautiful how a savage dictator can bring people together, no?
The time is now to take out Handsome Jack. Shoot, loot, pillage and plunder. Gather up your friends as you run rampant through the world collecting bazillions guns in an effort to save Pandora from the evil grips of the Hyperion Corporation.
With the game launching tomorrow, the Mechromancer will be available shortly thereafter. As indicated by her name, she will have the ability to take control of mechs, and will also be able to summon the D374-TP, lovingly referred to as the "Deathtrap," what Gearbox's president Randy Pitchford described as claptraps big angry cousin, calling it a, "gigantic evil robot that'll just beat the living shit out of the enemies."
2K and Gearbox are also promising four additional campaigns for Borderlands 2 that will eventually be available to download.
In addition to the new playable characters, there are also brand new enemies. Borderlands 2's producer Matt Charles tweeted, "There are brand new enemy families in Borderlands 2, and the total count of unique enemies (including special elemental variants with unique AI) is in the triple digits. New environments + new enemy types and behaviours = much more varied combat encounters!"
While Borderlands 2 does feature a roster of new faces for players to pick from, the OG vault hunters are still on-planet. You'll be able to accept missions from Mordecai, Roland, Lilith, and Brick. As for the new faces, if you haven't read about them yet, here's all the information you'll need right here.
Borderlands 2 launches September 18, 2012. Hope you made your pre-orders.
