Fans are looking forward to the upcoming WWE 2K17 game. The entertainment wrestling title will reportedly arrive with a special NXT Edition that will feature stars from the other organization.
Paul "HHH" Levesque made the announcement that there will be two versions of "WWE 2K17" to launch in fall 2016. The first will be the standard edition, and the second will be a NXT collector's edition.
GameSpot noted Levesque in saying that the WWE 2K17 NXT collector's edition features a lot of depth to meet the demands and expectations of hardcore NXT fans. HHH added that more NXT content will be integrated into the WWE 2K17 series in the future.
Some of the characters in the roster include John Cena, Ultimate Warrior and John Cena. HHH did not confirm whether the Four Horsewomen will also be part of the WWE 2K17 lineup.
IGN reported that the rare WWE 2K17 special edition will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Pre-ordering is already available at $100.
The WWE 2K17 NXT collector's edition will include a lithograph signed by Shinsuke "King of Strong Style" Nakamura, an 8-inchfigurine of Finn Balor, and NXT Takeover: London collectible cards.
Each card will include an actual piece of ring canvas from the special event. There will only be 50,000 Balor figures to launch worldwide. Shinsuke's lithographs will also be available in limited numbers.
The WWE 2K17 special edition will also feature the Goldberg pack, which has both the WWE and WCW versions of the powerful wrestler. The Halloween Havock and WCW Monday Nitro Havock arenas will be in the pack.
Fans will receive 50% more points at NXT in MyCareer, which is a great add-on while training at the in-game WWE Performance Center.
Players can play some of their favorite stars in the WWE 2K17 NXT special edition. Some of the playable characters include Shinsuke Nakamura, Nia Jax and Apollo Crews. PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 gamers can use the characters via purchase as downloadable content during the official release date.
PS4 and Xbox gamers who purchase the WWE 2K17 standard edition, however, have to wait for the NXT Enhancement Pack to launch later in 2016 to avail of the NXT stars.
"WWE 2K17" is developed by Yuke's Media Creations and publisher 2K Games. The game will launch on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on Oct. 11, 2016. More updates and details on the WWE 2K17 standard and special editions are expected soon.
