Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner have separated more than a year ago.
The A-list Hollywood couple announced in mid- 2015 that their 10-year marriage has ended and they will be seeking divorce. However, until now, the said legal dissolution of their marriage is not proceeding and many think that they have reconciled instead.
Are they trying to save their marriage? Perhaps, because until now, either Affleck or Garner has filed divorce paperwork. It is also odd that the couple already broke up but they continue to live together in their mansion, together with their three kids namely Violet, 10, Seraphina, 7, and Samuel, 4.
In her previous interview with Vanity Fair, Garner revealed that the family is living together under one roof. She said that she and her ex-husband sleep in separate rooms, with Affleck using the guest room of their five-bedroom sprawling home. The 44-year-old actress added that she shares a room with her oldest daughter, Violet.
What's more, they also celebrate important holidays and even go on trips with the whole family. The ex-couple have also been spotted together numerous times, and they look chummy, so it was hard to believe that they are divorcing.
A source told Us Weekly that Affleck and Garner have stop talking about divorce. Another source close to the couple said that the two are still in love and really care for each other.
"Jen mentioned that the divorce was going through very soon, and then a few weeks ago, things changed," the source shared. "It does not seem to be moving in that direction."
Still, Affleck's side insists that they are just taking things slow and the lawyers are actually drafting the divorce papers in private. An insider from the "Justice League" actor's camp added that not rushing the filing of divorce has always been the plan.
Incidentally, when the couple officially confirmed the news of their separation in late June of 2015, it was widely speculated that the cause of the break up was infidelity. It was alleged that Affleck was having an affair with the family's 28-year-old nanny named Christine Ouzounian.
The actor denied the rumors and Garner tried to make things clear by saying that the nanny has nothing to do with their decision to split. The "Alias" star explained that months before she even heard about the ‘nannygate' scandal, she and her husband have already called it quits. Thus, Ouzounian was not the cause of the separation.
Are the couple really heading for splitsville or will they eventually set things right and abandon the whole divorce thing?
