A massive sequel to "Transformers 4" is already being filmed. But unlike the previous installments that have been titled in chronological manner, this movie is not going to be called "Transformers 5" but rather "Transformers: The Last Knight."
The producers are keeping the main cast from the last sequel which include Mark Wahlberg, Josh Duhamel, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Anthony Hopkins and Peter Cullen. Michael Bay will also remain as the film's director, however, it is still not sure whether the rest of the cast members are coming back as well.
Paramount assured fans that there will be galactic changes in the next "Transformers" sequel and this is probably true as bits and pieces about the movie have already been revealed lately. One of the main source of news about the movie is director Bay, as he has been regularly posting updates, on his social media account, about the progress of their filming.
The director recently shared that they are adding more selections of Autobot incredible cars and one of them is a Mercedes-AMG GT R. On his Twitter account, Bay posted a photo of a sleek red and black wheels and captioned it with: "The samurai returns thanks to @MercedesAMG GT R. Looking good, Drift. #transformers @MercedesBenz"
The latest scoop about "Transformers: The Last Knight." is that Optimus Prime will be battling a three-headed monster. This news came out after the film's promo banner was played in Times Square in New York.
While displayed on the billboard, many noticed that the lead Autobot is fighting with something which appeared to be either a dragon or a mythical creature. While it is hard to pin point what exactly Optimus Prime is battling with, it is likely that it is one of the Decepticon's allies since the Decepticon flag was spotted in the background. Then again, it is also possible that the creature is the new antagonist that must be defeated.
Meanwhile, Paramount is releasing "Transformers: The Last Knight" on June 23, 2017.
Although this is still a year away, fans will be surprise to know that "Transformers 6" is in the works already. According to Hollywood Reporter, that the sixth sequel has been scheduled to premiere on June 8, 2018.
