Those who were hoping to get their mits on EA's NBA Live 13 in early October will be a little disappointed. EA put up a notice on the game's page announcing that the release has been pushed back to sometime ater the anticipated early October launch. Read on for the post:
"We wanted to provide an update on the progress of NBA LIVE 13.
We've been working hard on the game, and so we're excited to share our first in-game trailer today.
Many fans have been anticipating an early October launch, but our plan is to release at a later date. We will share more information in the future."
So there you have it. EA has yet to give a future release date, which means that competitor NBA 2K13 gets the month of October all to tiself, releasing on October 2.
EA didn't comment as to why the release was delayed. The last thing that we heard from EA concerning the title was that it was to be released digitally only, a representative saying "It's been almost 3 years since we've released an NBA title. The decision has been made to not put the game on disc. Live will be looking at a price point around $19.99."
NBA Live 13 was to be EA's supposed glorious return to the franchise after a three year hiatus, and poor fameplay reviews based on bad AI and collision detection.
We'll let you know when EA provides additional information, but in the mean time, you can check out the trailer below.
