Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris Split: Rita Ora's Ex Blasts Tom Hiddleston's Girlfriend On Series Of Twitter Rants After She Confirms Writing His Latest Hit Song

On July 13, 2016, Calvin Harris went on a Twitter rant after ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift confirmed that she wrote the DJ's latest hit song, "This Is What You Came For."

The song, featuring Rihanna, turned out to be a success. After the single launched, Calvin Harris appeared on Ryan Seacrest's radio show saying that he and Swift never talked about a music collaboration and that he cannot see it happening. Swift was apparently hurt by what he said.

According to TMZ, Taylor Swift contributed to Calvin Harris's single when they were still a couple. Swift allegedly wrote the song and provided it with the melody, and then recorded a demo on her iPhone.

She forwarded the work to Calvin Harris, which the latter loved. The two eventually recorded a full demo in a studio, although they agreed not to publicly reveal their collaboration.

Initially, Calvin Harris, 32, confirmed that the Grammy winner was involved in the songwriting process. He commended her for being an amazing lyric writer and singing parts of the song.

However, in the series of tweets that followed, the Scottish DJ accused Swift of putting him in a bad light.

Calvin Harris explained that he wrote the music, produced and arranged song but cut the vocals. Calvin Harris continued that Taylor wanted to keep it a secret, which is why the pseudonym Nils Sjoberg was used in publishing, together with his real name, Adam Wiles.

Calvin Harris said that he was hurt that Taylor and her team would go far out of their way to try and make him look bad after their breakup.
