Activision Publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg confirmed that Call Of Duty: Black Ops II is coming to the Nintendo Wii U. The announcement was made at Nintendo's event to announce the Wii U's price and date in New York City.
The Wii U version of Black Ops 2 will employ the Wii U's second screen for the game's mini-map, to activate score streaks and even to change button lay out mid-game.
According to report by Joystiq, the Wii U's GamePad can be used as a second screen in two-player modes. One player will be able to play using the TV screen, and the other player can use the screen of the GamePad.
The feature can also be used for solo players, allowing gamers the ability to play the game on their gamepad rather than on their television set.
Call of Duty: Black Ops II is an upcoming first-person shooter video game, developed by Treyarch and published by Activision and has a release date of Nov.13, for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Microsoft Windows. The Nintendo Wii U version of the game has not been given a release date as of yet.
The protagonist of the original Black Ops, Alex Mason will returns as the protagonist in sections of the game about the Cold War. The Cold War section of the game will feature multiple sites in Central America, Afghanistan during the Soviet invasion and Angola.
The game will fear a section set in the near future that takes place in the year 2025, this section of the game will features Alex Mason's son David as a protagonist. The plot for this part of the game revolves around a cyber attack that cripples the Chinese Stock Exchange. This causes China to ban the export of rare earth elements, which in turn leads to a new Cold War between China and the United States.
