"Batman: Return to Arkham" video game will not be out in the market this month. Gamers have been expecting its launch which was initially set for July 31, but Warner Bros. pushed back the date. Expert game enthusiasts are speculating that the new release date would be sometime in September or November.
Game developer, Virtuos Games, realized that the game needs more polishing so they decided to wait a bit more rather than get lots of complaints for possible flaws. Likewise, in a statement posted on WB Games Forum, WB staff Steve Grayson said, "After reviewing the progress of the project, the team at WB Games has decided to delay the release of "Batman: Return to Arkham."
He explained that the team at Virtuos want more time to present a more refined gaming experience. Grayson added that the new release date has not been set yet but they will make sure to update everyone when "Batman: Return to Arkham" is ready.
But whether "Batman: Return to Arkham" is coming out in September or later, what could be the real specific issue that is causing the hold up of the release? A source told Eurogamer that the main problem that Virtuos Games needs to fix are the quality of the port and frame-rate.
Warner Bros. is just being more careful with third party ports after the mess with the PC version of Arkham Knight. It can recalled that the company had to stop its sale after getting numerous complaints for the quality of ports.
Finally, "Batman: Return to Arkham" will not be available on PC as Warner Bros. relayed that is will be released with all the DLC on PS4 and Xbox One only. For fans who would like to reserve early, they can pre-order the game's Xbox One or PlayStation 4 Standard Edition in Amazon, Gamestop or Best Buy for the price of $49.99 with free shipping within the United States.
