The “Flash” season 3 continues to keep everyone hanging with most focusing on the things to come following “Barry Allen’s” choice to save his mother from being killed by the “Reverse Flash”.
It has already been confirmed that “Flash” season 3 will adopt the comic book “Flashpoint” storyline though there could be some slight changes or ‘skips’ considering the massive appearance of characters in the comic and animated version.
“Kid Flash” finally debuting
While that is up in the air, a new speedster is expected to rise with Wally West expected to appear as “Kid Flash”. To date, there has been no word on when Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) will be getting his super powers.
Thanks to some released photos by CW, that seems to be imminently happening in season 3 of the “Flash”. Comic Book Resources shared the photos for “Flash” fans and viewers to see via CW’s official Twitter account.

How does Wally West get his powers?
With “Kid Flash” coming, the question now is how? To recall in season 2, Wally’s father “Joe West” (Jesse L. Martin) tried to see if his son inherited his powers after being struck by the recreated particle accelerator as “Flash” (Grant Gustin) was trying to get back his speed.
Wally and Jesse Wells (Violett Beane, “Jesse Quick”) were hit by the same lightning and the belief is that both will end up with super powers. In a separate post, Beane is confirmed that she will be returning for season 3 though it remains to be seen on what timeline and if she will discover her powers as well.
As far as Wally is concerned, it will be interesting how he gets his powers. Will it happen in a different timeline? Does he discover them by accident or did he already know but was just hiding it?
Wally’s character is unpredictable so it will be interesting how this turns out. The “Flash” season 3 returns on CW this Oct. 4, 2016.
