“Fast and Furious 8” is expected to be one of the highly anticipated films of 2018 though there are scarce information tied up to the film for now.
Much of the updates include the new cast members and the flying cars in select places. A lot of those were covered on previous posts which you can find here.
But the latest revelation offers a twist for the ones who want to play the guessing game. Thanks to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, a recent Instagram photos has sent mixed signals.
The photo shows FBI agent “Hobbs” (Johnson) handcuffed (heavily) and donning the familiar orange suit that most jailbirds wear when they are apprehended via Collider. So the questions now is what truly gives?

'Hobbs' blackmail angle
One possible angle is seeing Hobbs being blackmailed or the tables possibly being turned. Everyone knows that the one in high security towards the end of “Fast and Furious 7” was “Ian Shaw” (Jason Statham).
With new characters like “Cipher” (Charlie Theron) joining the cast, would this have anything to do with the photo posted by “The Rock”? It would have helped if Shaw was also in the photo wearing normal clothes but that may be giving up too much already. Then again, this is one of two scenarios so take it as a grain of salt.
'Hobbs' playing undercover angle
The second possibility is that Hobbs is playing the bad guy routine in an effort to squeeze out information likely from Shaw. There are other criminals that are behind bars but the first thing that comes to mind right now is Shaw.
“Brian O’Conner” (Paul Walker)did a lot of that before so it could be possible that “Fast and Furious 8” will still retain that same routine. But as the first one, this is also a speculation.
The best bet is that Cipher and the rest of the new faces on the villain side will have something to do with the whole mess that Hobbs and “Dominic Toretto” (Vin Diesel) will be dealing with.
