We all know by know with the crazy popularity of "Pokemon GO" that you'll have the option to be a member of the three different teams in Valor, Mystic and Instinct. Here are a few reasons on why you should not treat picking teams as a game.
The team's population in "Pokemon GO"
There's a report that trading Pokemons will be added as a feature in the future updates in "Pokemon GO" so the more teammates you have in your specific area, there's a chance that they can help you get stronger Pokemons via trades. Also for Pokemon battle events, there is a chance that the lesser populated team can be placed into a disadvantage but Niantic has already addressed that they will closely look into the three teams for balance
The three legendary birds in "Pokemon GO"
Zapdos, Moltres, and Articuno are the three legendary bird form Pokemons which are the one's who obviously inspired the three different teams in "Pokemon GO." If you do wish to catch one of these legendary Pokemons in the future, there's a possibility that a player is only allowed to catch the one who inspired their team's colors.
You cannot change teams for the rest of your stint in "Pokemon GO"
And last but definitely not the least of the reasons why you should pick your team carefully in "Pokemon GO." Once you've picked a team, there is no way you can undo it, the only way is for the gamer to create a new account in "Pokemon GO" which is a big hassle and also players are not allowed to handle multiple accounts and might result to a ban.
