The worst fear is the one you can't run away from, the fear that must be faced with ever last ounce of your being. The last desperate embrace of hope that lays dying on dry encrusted lips.
Capcom paints a sad picture in their latest pair of trailers for Resident Evil 6. The cinematic pieces shows a world on the brink of complete chaos with the remaining humans attempting to cling to their last bit humanity in the face of overwhelming odds. It is great way to tease gamers at the scope of the new game, before it releases.
Resident Evil 6 gives players the choice to select between three scenarios with connected storylines. A fourth storyline is unlocked after the player has finished the other three. The game will feature the returning zombies and the J'avo, who unlike zombies, are able to interact with each other to plan an attack.
The game's plot centers around President Adam Benford decision to officially reveal the truth behind the 1998 Raccoon City Destruction Incident in hopes to stop future bioterrorist activity. President's personal friend is Raccoon City survivor, Leon S. Kennedy and his new partner Helena Harper. The president falls victim to a bioterrorist attack and Leon is forced to face the infected and mutated President.
In Eastern European, mercenary Jake Muller, the son of late bio-terrorist Albert Wesker, flees from the authorities during a bioterrorist attack. Jake partners up with government agent and Raccoon City survivor Sherry Birkin.
Captain Chris Redfield and his team, including Piers Nivans, arrive in the fictional Chinese city of Lanshiang to find it under threat of a bioterrorist attack. It appears no country is safe from the outbreaks and the world's population may have no hope left.
The dramatic horror video game developed and published by Capcom, is scheduled for release on Oct. 2, for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and at a later date for Microsoft Windows.
