"Suicide Squad" has only less than a month before it hits the theatres and fans are treated to more juicy details about the film. While Jared Leto has been tight-lipped about his role as the Joker, he recently had an interview where he talked about bringing the iconic character to life.
Jared Leto As The Joker
Sitting down with Entertainment Weekly, Jared Leto talked about his role as the Joker in the highly-anticipated "Suicide Squad."
While his character has been portrayed by many outstanding actors such as Jack Nicholson and the late Heath Ledger, Jared Leto has promised to deliver a different kind of Joker for "Suicide Squad."
Jared Leto said he will be delighting the audience with a different kind of Joker in "Suicide Squad." The Joker will be less theatrical than Jack Nicholson but more deranged than Heath Ledger, as the reports said.
Jared Leto had let it known that he took being the Joker in "Suicide Squad" very seriously.
"You're kind of walking upon hallowed ground, and it deserves the very best that you can do," the Oscar winner said. "It takes over your life and that's what I needed to do for myself."
To prepare for the role, Jared Leto learned the mind of a psychopath through psychiatrists. He met with the doctors and their most damaged patients for "Suicide Squad." In the end, he let his instincts take over just as Joker would.

The Joker Takes Over
Even director David Ayer described Jared Leto as terrifying in the entire process of recreating the Joker in "Suicide Squad."
Coupled with Jared Leto's unconventional ways, the "Suicide Squad" set was pretty scary. Ayer said that when Leto showed up on set, he's aura was really creepy.
His powerful internalization of his character clearly manifested in the "Suicide Squad." He reportedly sent a live rat to Margot Robbie and a dead hog for the whole squad. As parting gifts, Jared Leto gave the squad with horrific presents such as nude magazines, dildo, switchblade and a used condom.
