Electronic Arts' Medal of Honor Warfighter will have two maps from the new Sony Pictures from "Zero Dark Thirty," which is about the raid that resulted in the death of wanted al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden.
The maps will include the Darra Gun Market, Pakistan's illegal gun bazaar, as well as Chitral, is the capital of the Chitral District, situated on the western bank of the Kunar River in Pakistan.
The downloadable content (DLC) pack will be available on Dec. 17, for $9.99 on PlayStation Network, Windows PC and for 800 Microsoft Points on Xbox Live. The download will be free to purchasers of the limited edition. The pack will be released to coincide with the theatrical opening of "Zero Dark Thirty."
EA will donate a minimum of $1 million worth of proceeds from the pack to Project Honor, a program that makes charitable donations to nonprofit veteran organizations.
The film "Zero Dark Thirty" will be coming to theaters in Dec. 2012, and is a American action thriller billed as "the story of history's greatest manhunt for the world's most dangerous man."
The movie is about the special operations forces mission to capture or kill Osama bin Laden. The film is directed and co-produced by Kathryn Bigelow directed "The Hurt Locker, " another military action thriller that won the Academy Award for Best Picture and five other Oscars in 2009.
The film has started some controversy from opponents of the Obama Administration, who have claimed that "Zero Dark Thirty" would support the reelection of Barack Obama by reminding the public who was president during the raid that got bin Laden.
