Anticipation and interest on the upcoming game picked up when the Spiderman PS4 game was unveiled at the E3 2016 event. According to Insomniac, players will control a more experience and fight-ready Peter Parker.
Insomniac Games Not Saying Spiderman PS4 Release Going To Be Delayed Either
But not stating a specific release date does not equate to a delayed Spiderman PS4 release either, as can be seen in this later Twitter exchange. A Twitter user named Kerr Robinson wrote to Insomniac Games "I'm gonna have let this drop off my radar now, because I don't want to anticipate something that is at least 2 years away," as reported in PlayStation Lifestyle.
Insomniac's response got a bit more informative, at least as far as the Spiderman PS game release date is concerned. Insomniac said "Who said it was 2 years away? Just stay tuned. We're still working on it and can narrow it down closer."
At this point, Kerr Robinson who is an obvious Spiderman fan, seized this sudden communicativeness of the developer and pressed for further details regarding the Spiderman PS4 game release. Kerr wrote, "But when a release date is not coming anytime soon, especially after an official announcement its just annoying to me.. sorry."
The next Insomniac Games response solved a lot of questions. The developer replied, "We'd rather give a release date when we're confident in it, versus telling you one we aren't sure about yet."
Apparently, the reason for not specifying a Spiderman PS4 game release date is not because the release could be delayed. Insomnia just wants to avoid that embarrassing scenario where a developer has to announce a postponement of release because it was not able to meet its self-imposed deadline.
