Samsung has been dialed in on the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 but the Korean company has other product lines to offer. One of them is the J series and the word out right now is that something ‘big’ is coming soon.
A thirteenth member of the Samsung Galaxy J series has been revealed, courtesy of ever reliable tipster Evan Blass through Twitter. According to Blass, the new member will be the Samsung Galaxy J5 Max that will be highlighted by a large 7-inch screen.

Is it a tablet or a phone?
For a device that size, it would be safe to say that people will unlikely be able to squeeze in the Samsung Galaxy J5 Max down their pockets. Despite the seemingly phablet-based make, it comes as a surprise why the device is still categorized as a smartphone.
All that may boil down to the features that the Samsung Galaxy J5 Max has to offer. Aside from the large screen size, the specs offer common specs that the Galaxy J series has been catering to.
The list of features the Samsung Galaxy J5 Max has to offer include dual-SIM capability and support for the usual range of international carrier brands like GSM, HSDPA and LTE.
Being a new player in the mix, the other technical specs have yet to be known. The processor, RAM, storage and cameras it is expected to come with will likely be revealed once the Samsung Galaxy J5 Max undergoes the necessary tests and certifications (Bluetooth and FCC) per Sam Mobile.
Samsung Galaxy J5 successor?
For the benefit of readers who are unfamiliar with the Samsung Galaxy J5 series, there is actually one in the mix. It is likely that most of the specs for the Samsung Galaxy J5 Max will take off from the budget-friendly handset.
Among the features of the Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) include a 5.2-inch touch screen display (720x1280 pixels), 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB of internal storage (expandable up to 128 GB via microSD), 13 MP main camera and a 5 MP front-facing shooter.
The Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) is backed by a removable 3100 mAh battery and runs on Android 6.0.1. So for those wondering about the specs of the Samsung Galaxy J5 Max, the potential specs could pick up (enormously) from there.
