Sony announced that they will be releasing a Killzone Trilogy collection for PlayStation 3 on Oct. 23, for $39.99, according to a blog entry on the U.S. version of the PlayStation website.
The KillzoneTrilogy collection will be getting the same treatment as other titles in the Collection line-up, the original Killzone has been updated with a 720p HD treatment.
In addition to Killzone HD, the Trilogy will also include PlayStation 3 titles, Killzone 2 and Killzone 3. The series of first-person shooters focuses on the continuous war between the ISA and Helghast taking place on both ISA Earth colonies and the planet Helghan, the home planet of the Helghast. The game's setting takes place in an era of space colonization.
The protagonist of the first game is Jan Templar and in the second and third installments of the franchise it is Tomas Sevchenko. The main villain of the series is Helghast Emperor Scolar Visari, although other threats emerge.
The games also feature an online competitive multi-player that cane features up to 16 players in Killzone, 32 players in Killzone 2 and up to 24 players in Killzone 3. There are various modes of multi-player.
