‘Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’ Latest News, Release Date & Update: October Launch For North America Confirmed? New Game Details Revealed

Bandai Namco hopes to continue its run after announcing the upcoming release of “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2”. The company revealed that game versions for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will happen in North America on Oct. 25 before releasing it globally on Oct. 28.

Returning souped up characters in 'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2'

“Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” will carry the similar storyline as the last one and will still include the ability of players to create their own hero character. This means that popular characters like “Cooler”, “Lord Slug” and the villainous “Janemba” will be back as the battle of the realms beyond time continues.

The returning characters for “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” are expected to get some upgrades. This ranges from moves and techniques which some may have seen from the film adaptation as reported by Techno Buffalo.

Aside from the characters, better graphics in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" are expected as well. Seeing the high resolution display capabilities of the PS4 and the Xbox One, Bandai Namco is expected to focus on that aspect as well to come up with another slambang game that players will enjoy.

Pre Order Bonuses and Special Editions of 'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2'

As most games who want to entice pre-orders, Bandai Namco likewise announced that folks who pre-order “Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2” will get bonuses and special edition pieces over in Europe.

Games who plan to take up Bandai Namco on their offer will get a copy of the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game, early access to “Future Trunks” and a Season Pass which will serve as a ticket to access four separate content packs.

The Collector’s Edition will include a copy of the game, a Son Goku Super Master Stars piece, an exclusive box design with metal Shenon and a Time Patrollers guide per Gematsu. Lastly, there is a new "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" trailer released by Bandai Namco which features DJ Steve Aoki.

Aoki will also appear in the "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" game as a non-playable character that players will be able to interact with in the game’s hub city of Conton in another post from Gematsu. Check out the video trailer below.
