The new PlayStation 3 bundle for NHL 13 will include a black 320GB PlayStation 3 Slim in a specially art-covered box with NHL 13 for $299.99. The bundle will save Canadian gamers $60 according to Sony.
New PlayStation 3 bundle will also include a trial month of PlayStation Plus when it releases on Sept. 11. The trial month gives gamer's access to Sony's paid for PlayStation Network premium service, which includes enhancements such as the ability to have demos, game and system software updates download automatically to the PlayStation 3.
Subscribers of the service also get early or exclusive access to some betas, game demos, premium downloadable content and other PlayStation Store items.
This year's NHL '13 sports the following new feature:
EA Sports Hockey IQ: CPU-controlled players and teammates smarter by reacting to everything on the ice. Skaters will be more easily able to prevent scoring opportunities. For goaltenders, Hockey IQ features new types of desperation saves and the ability to identify "potential" scoring threats.
True Performance Skating: a new skating engine based on physics, makes the player skating more dynamic and realistic with over 1,000 new animations created using motion capture.
Improved rating system: Each player's overall is based on that player's skill in their position and on their attribute values as perceived by the new 5-star ratings for these six categories: shooting, puck skills, senses, skating, physical, and defense.
Team First Presentation: Recreates authentic team-specific presentations and the ability to customize the experience.
GM Connected: Allows players to play in online Be a GM leagues with human-controlled teams. Players can keep track of what's happening in their league with a mobile app.
