Apple has caused some rumors about the iPad Air 3 that is reported to be release in September 2016 or March 2017. But after Apple introduce the 9.7 inch iPad Pro earlier this year, reports are now conflicting that it will come out this fall while others stating that the iPad Air lineup has been discontinued.
Apple stopped iPad Air 3 production
Apple did say nothing regarding iPad Air 3 updates as to when is going to be released. Rumors say the company may have stopped the production of the iPad Air models. Based on previous release schedule of Apple, the iPad Air 3 is slated for release in October 2015. However, when Apple announced its devices in September 2015, no iPad Air 3 was included.
According to reports on MacWorld, the discounts on the current iPad Air models are not offered by the Cupertino-based tech giant via Apple Store. These discounts can be availed in third-party retailers like E-bay. Macworld highlighted that Apple has nothing to do with the discounts and says that they don't necessarily mean that an iPad Air 3 is on the way.
No Apple iPad Air 3 is coming
With no news about Apple releasing iPad Air 3 this September or the previous event in March, fans may be devastated by the news of not seeing a new model of the iPad Air franchise. However, Apple is expected to continue releasing the iPad Mini and iPad Pro lineup.
The heart breaking news may hard for the fans to swallow but Apple, as a technology tycoon, is now up for surprises. Fans should expect iPad Air 3 or a better one in the coming years.
