According to the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 creators, the production needs to be stopped as of now since team has to work for the storyline of the upcoming installment. "We're starting a bit later because at the end of this season, 'Winter is here' - and that means that sunny weather doesn't really serve our purposes anymore," David Benioff and D.B. Weiss said of the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 in a podcast interview, as reported by The Bitbag.
In other words, fans should not expect the "Game of Thrones" Season 7 to air in March or April 2016. David Benioff and D.B. Weiss also divulged no official air date has been confirmed as of yet. This could possibly mean that "The Winds of Winter" book will be released first before the next season premieres.
