PlayStation Home Gets an Update Today

A slew of new updates for PlayStation's social gaming network is set to go live today. Check out below what's getting updated!

First up, Cutthroats: Battle for Black Powder Cove is going 2.0. The free-to-play pirate plunderer update adds new weapons to the armory, clothing store, and improves the user interface and expands the game play experience.

If the seven seas aren't your thing, then rise above. Way, way above. I'm talking orbit. Digital Leisure lets you call the final frontier home with the Space Station Apartment, giving you new options for furniture, science theme props, a custom space helmet for him or her and even a UFO Sidekick to follow you all around. You'll also be able to take command of a space turret, blasting away wayward asteroids, or the more menial task of taking out the garbage.

If you consider yourself more the cultured type, you can visit the new Fossil Mueseum, a three story exhibition space to store all your collected fossils. Great for pretentiousness and chardonnay guzzling. Or bordeaux if red's more agreeable with your palette.

4. Tight, Sophisticated Silhouette

For the office women (who still plays PlayStation 3), or maybe even really classy escorts, new outfits are on the way, namely, the "Tight Office Suit" series. The line-up consists of three items, the Tight Office Suit, Tight Office Skirt, Office High Heels.

There's a whole lot more updates arriving: new games, discounts and sales on items, etc., but the one that really warrants mentioning is the new sweepstakes prize. For the shutterbugs, Midway is offering a Sony Cyber-shot 16.2 Megapixel Camera. All you need to do to sign up is to head to Midway 3's Hot Zone. Every green ticket you purchase to play the Midway games earns you an entry into the weekly drawing. In addition, you also get a chance at winning $1,000 cash.
