It is almost common knowledge that Charlie Hunnam and Kurt Sutter did not get along while working on "Sons of Anarchy". For that reason alone, it could be impossible for Jax Teller to pop up in the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel series. But why are fans still hoping that Charlie Hunnam will appear in "The First 9"?
Charlie Hunnam Cameo In "Sons Of Anarchy" Prequel Series An Impossible Dream?
Sure, Jax Teller is dead in the present, but the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel series takes place in the past, when he was still alive. Well, sort of.
"The First 9", which is what Kurt Sutter wants to call the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel series, also happens in the 1960s. That's about a decade or so before Jax Teller was born in 1978. This could mean that Charlie Hunnam will not be a part of the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel series unless someone comes up with a creative script.
Charlie Hunnam Could Appear As Jax Teller Flashback In "Sons Of Anarchy" Prequel Series?
There is still one way for Charlie Hunnam to show up in the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel series. Jax Teller could be part of a flashback (or flashforward?) to the present where the character is looking into the history of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original.
The approach might be something that is usually seen in fantasy films (see "Princess Bride", "The Hobbit", etc) but it still works in introducing the biggest star of "Sons of Anarchy" and tying the prequel series to the present.
Hopefully, that explains how Charlie Hunnam will miraculously appear in the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel series. But will Jax Teller be a part of the spinoff series "Mayans MC"?
Charlie Hunnam Cameo In "Sons Of Anarchy" Spinoff "Mayans MC" Not Possible?
As mentioned, Jax Teller already died his awesomely dramatic death in the "Sons of Anarchy" Season 7 finale. Fans will have to wait for the "Sons of Anarchy" prequel series to see Charlie Hunnam back in action.
The "Sons of Anarchy" prequel series air date has not been set, but "The First 9" could debut in 2018.
