2K Sports released screenshots featuring some of the NBA legends that will be appearing in this year's edition of the NBA 2K video game series. The screenshots include the first-ever cover athlete of the series Allen Iverson in his Philadelphia 76ers attire. The man known as the answer will be available for the first time as a historic player in the game.
Here is a look at each player's career and screenshot.
Wilt Chamberlain
Wilton Norman "Wilt" Chamberlain played for the Philadelphia/San Francisco Warriors, the Philadelphia 76ers and the Los Angeles Lakers. The 7-foot-1 Center weighed 250 pounds as a rookie and eventually weighed over 300 pounds with the Lakers. He is one of the most dominant players in NBA history and the only player to score 100 points in a single NBA game.
Shawn Kemp
Shawn T. Kemp is a former American professional basketball player, who played in the National Basketball Association for the now defunct Seattle Super Sonics. In his 14-season career, Kemp, a power-forward was a six-time NBA All-Star and a three-time All-NBA Second Team member.
Scottie Pippen
Scottie Pippen helped to lead the Chicago Bulls to 6 NBA titles and their record 1995-96 season of 72 wins. Pippen, a small-forward was named to the NBA All-Defensive First Team 8 straight times and the All-NBA First Team three times. He was a seven-time NBA All-Star.
Alonzo Mourning
Alonzo Mourning played most of his 15-year NBA career for the Miami Heat. He is two-time NBA Defensive Player of the Year Award winner and was perennially placed him on the NBA All-Defensive Team. He was part of the 2006 NBA Champion Miami Heat. He is currently the second leading scorer in the history of the Heat Franchise with 9,459 points.
Shaquille O'Neal
Shaquille O'Neal or just "Shaq" for short was one of the NBA's most dominant centers. Shaq stands at 7-foot-1 and weighed 325 pounds or more during his playing career. O'Neal used his size and strength to overpower opponents for points and rebounds. He was the first overall pick in the 1992 NBA Draft and won the Rookie of the Year in 1992-93. He is four-time NBA champion and three-time NBA Finals MVP.
Allen Iverson
Allen Iverson played both the point guard and shooting guard positions. He was named the NBA Rookie of the Year in the 1996-97 season and was the NBA MVP of the 2000-01 season. Iverson also won the NBA scoring title during the 1998-99, 2000-01, 2001-02 and 2004-05 seasons. He was also the first cover athlete for the NBA 2K series back in 1999.
