Jordan Brand is expected to gain a lot of attention this year with word of two retro shoes set to be released before Christmas 2016. The two sneakers in mention are the Air Jordan 11 and Air Jordan 9 Retro Low, something sneakerheads will surely want to get their hands on.
Air Jordan 11 'Space Jam' out before Christmas?
The Air Jordan 11 “Space Jam” kicks have been a hot topic since surfacing online. The word out is that the AJ 11 will be out by Dec. 17 or Dec. 24, meaning it will be out right on time for the Holidays. As far as pricing, the AJ 11 will reportedly retail for about $220 a pair according to Kicks On Fire.
For those who may not be familiar with the Air Jordan 11, this is the shoe that carried a black upper portion that included the laces and the tongue. A blue Jumpman logo is located at the side with the number “45” stitched at the heels.
The release of the AJ 11 comes in timely fashion considering the original “Space Jam” movie will be celebrating its 20th year. That movie starred retired NBA star Michael Jordan together with the Looney Tunes bunch led by “Bugs Bunny”.
Air Jordan 9 'University Blue' Edition out Saturday?
Sneaker heads may not have to wait long for another retro Air Jordan with word that the AJ 9 could be out this Saturday. This is the Air Jordan “University Blue” edition originally released back in 1994. It was then known as the “Powder Blue” edition as a tribute to Jordan’s alma mater, North Carolina.
AJ 9 is officially listed as the University Blue/White/Black/University Blue colorway of the classic shoe which will reportedly be released Saturday at 10 a.m. ET. Nike will be selling the kicks for $170. A third Jordan pair to consider is the Air Jordan 2 Retro Low “Midnight Navy”. It will be released alongside the AJ 9 and retail for about $160.
