This region is mostly abandoned now. There was a time when it was home to hundreds of thousands humans. Now there is nothing but zombies around for the next 105 miles.
The War Z promises that gamers will have at least this much free-roaming terrain to battle the undead and scavenge for the remains of humanity, according to a posting on the game's forum from it's developer Hammerpoint.
Three cities can be seen in the screenshot below released by Hammerpoint and according to the developer, "This map size is pretty comfortable for up to 130+ players. At 200+ players, you'll be able to meet other players every 15-20 minutes of playing game."
The maps code name is "Colorado," and all area except for snow peak mountains on the edge of the map are accessible to gamers.
The War Z is being touted as "the world's first survival MMO Zombie Game," and is set five years since an apocalyptic zombie outbreak. Gamers enter a world where 95 percent of the human population is gone.
Player will rummage for food, weapons, and other supplies over the massive terrain. In their attempt to survive players may be forced to fight zombies or other players.
The game will not have additional cost after the purchase price and all of the game's updates will be delivered free of charge when they're released. There will also be no level, no classes and no level caps in the game. All items available for purchase in the game's marketplace can be found in the gameworld.
