At this point, we all know the cards Nintendo has up its sleeves with their next console, the Wii U. But what we don't know is when it plans on playing them. But one group is betting on early November.
Video Product Distributors, a company that handles distribution for Amazon, posted a listing for Nintendo's Wii U as arriving November 11, and with numerous price listings, for $250, $300, and $350.
Nintendo has yet to confirm any of the distributors' pricings, and is likely waiting for their September event to make an official announcement regarding the Wii U.
There've been a lot of information flying around about Nintendo's newest console, but what about Sony and Microsoft?
If GameStop's CEO Paul Raines is to be believed, gamers will have to wait until 2014 before both companies' new consoles are on the market. Raines recently told Polygon, "This week, I'm getting a lot of rumors that are very interesting about 2013. We have not been expecting two more consoles in 2013. We're expecting Wii U this holiday, another one next year, and another one in '14. These rumors change every week, but we're hearing more about next year."
Unfortunately, he didn't address which console would be arriving second to the Wii U, and like any good company, neither Microsoft or Sony have commented on their new systems. Sony is apparently waiting for Microsoft to make some kind of an announcement before they do. Both companies are of the apparent belief that there's still a lot of life left to squeeze out of their respective systems before introducing something new.
Nintendo's New York announcement is scheduled for September 18, and as for Sony and Microsoft? We'll all just have to wait and see...
