The “Flash” has always kicked of seasons slowly as it normally saves the best for last. Season 2 is a prime example and many viewers are expecting pretty much the same.
Picking up from the events that went down in the “Flash” season 2 finale, one only has to look back at the “Flashpoint” storyline which is ironically what season 3 will be all about.
To refresh folks who may not be familiar with that, it does see “Flash” saving his mother but resulting in Barry Allen no longer having his powers. Aside from losing his powers, Iris is hitched to someone else. Will all that follow for “Flash” season 3?
The first few episodes are expected to condition the minds of viewers on the new setting, a different world as a result of Barry (Grant Gustin) foiling “Zoom’s” impending murder of “Nora Allen” (Michelle Harrison).
Grant Gustin begs to differ in 'The Flash' Season 3
While all that seems the best way to approach the early episodes of “Flash” season 3, Grant Gustin says otherwise. At least that seems to be what he was hinting when he tweeted that “this would be the strongest start to a season yet” as mentioned on Cinema Blend.
Take note that Gustin was referring to the “2nd season”. If that is the case, the slow start may be constrained to the first episode only. Hence, it could indicate that viewers will have a lot of ‘digesting’ to do in the season premiere as they try to condition themselves following Barry’s time-altering actions in the “Flash” season 2 finale.
Will Tom Felton factor early in 'The Flash' Season 3?
“Flash” season 3 is expected to bring in a lot of new faces and one notable addition is “Harry Potter” personality Tom Felton.
The Hollywood Reporter reveals that Felton will be a regular and take on the role of “Julian Dorn”. Dorn will be a fellow CSI at the ‘Central City Police Department’ and will be someone pretty interested on what Barry is hiding.
Felton’s character is a new twist to “Flash” and somehow contradicts plots believing that Barry will be losing his powers. How can Dorn’s curiosity be aroused when Barry is technically a normal CSI?
Another theory from THR suggests that since the “Flash” is taking on different ‘earths’, Felton could be the new “Barry” on a different timeline. That is possible since Allen’s actions opens up a whole world of new possibilities.
The “Flash” season 3 returns on October 4 on the CW network.
