The highlight of the summer has come to an end when HBO released the final episode of Season 6 of the critically acclaimed TV series "Game of Thrones," which is based on the novel by George R. R. Martin's "A Song of Fire and Ice." Fans were astonished by the ending and the rumors and theory keep coming as the long wait starts for the "Game of Thrones" Season 7.

"Game of Thrones" Season 6 ended with Cersie (Lena Headey) blowing up the Sept of Baelor with wildfire killing everyone within including the High Sparrow (Jonathan Pyrce), Margaery Tyrell (Nathalie Dormer) with his brother and father. So much more then after that, Tommen jumped down the window, killing himself as the Sept burned to ashes.
Meanwhile, "Game of Thrones" Season 6 has also featured Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) killed Walder Fray and Jon Snow ( Kit Harrington) is revealed as the son of Lyanna Stark and is proclaimed "King of the North." In the final scene, Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clark) sails for Westeros in the Narrow Sea with her army to fulfill her birthright and sit in the Iron Throne.

The beginning of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 is expected to pick up where it ended in Season 6. However, there is no source material to know what's the storyline of the upcoming season.
It is rumored that the plot of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will be based on George RR Martin's book "The Winds of Winter," which is the sixth installment of the "A Song of Fire and Ice." However, somehow, everything remains unconfirmed as of yet.
Other sources have also claimed that "Game of Thrones" Season 7 will be theb shortest season ever! That's right, because the show is only left with 13 episodes; seven for "Game of Thrones" Season 7 and six episodes for "Game of Thrones" Season 8. Fans have speculated that it is an indication that it's nearing to its end and we will face with a dilemma as how to cope with a lost of a great TV franchise.
Other reports have also claimed that Cersie and Daenerys are totally going to be fighting each other in "Game of Thrones" Season 7. Also, a war between Jon Snow and the Night King may come to play and an ultimate reunion of the Stark kids will also take place. The wall will crumble with white walkers dominating the land and it will reveal what kind of ruler Cersie really is.
Up until now, there is no official date of "Game of Thrones" Season 7 or any confirmed detail as to when it's going to air. However, usually, HBO airs new "Game of Thrones" intsallments in the middle of April.
