Since "Sons of Anarchy" was last aired in December 2014, fans of the show have been longing for a new installment. However, there are swirling rumors that a new spin-off is in the works that might be the series' prequel.
Since 2013, there are reports that Kurt Sutter, the creator of "Sons of Anarchy," is working on an agreement with FX for a possible prequel for the drama series, according to Vine Report.
However, both parties have been tight-lipped about the details or any plot of the planned "Sons of Anarchy." There are hearsays that it may feature the story on Jax Teller (Charlie Hunnam) and how he became part of the Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club, Redwood Original (SAMCRO).
But to recall, Charlie Hunnam already shut down the rumors of reprising his role as Jax Teller in "Sons of Anarchy" as he is no longer interested to play the role.
The 36-year-old star once stated that his main concern today is his family and he is actually busy doing other projects.
Although Charlie Hunnam will no longer play the role of Jax Teller and might not be part of the "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off or prequel, Kurt Sutter promised the return of the badass motorcycle club, International Business Times cited.

"The return is near," Kate Sutter teased his followers on Twitter. The post was accompanied by a picture featuring a Latino biker group.
In fact, Kate Sutter collaborated with a Latino filmmaker Elgin James to release "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off. They will concentrate with the Mayans, a Latino motorcycle gang that had been allied and enemy of the SAMCRO and Jax Teller himself.
The "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off will be "dark, a visceral family drama that takes a new look at the most American of icons," as per Elgin James.
The synopsis of "Sons of Anarchy" spin-off will be 1 percent outlaw that will be seen through the Latinos' eyes.
