The website Nowhereelse.fr recently posted some pictures of an alleged iPhone 5 next to some older models, to give viewers an idea of how they compare in terms of size.
Like other allegedly leaked pohotos, these too show a new design with a slightly taller display that has been seen before. In this series of photos, the alleged new iPhone is shown next to an iPhone 3GS, and an iPhone 4, offering a better look at how the new design will be different.
As can be seen in the pictures aboves , the pictures seem to confirm the thoughts of analyst Gene Munster, who wrote "We believe the iPhone 5 will have a completely redesigned body style, which may more closely resemble the metallic rear panel of the current iPad. We believe there is a 50% chance the new phone has a slightly larger 4+" screen...Beyond the redesigned body and screen, we believe the new phone will include 4G LTE, upgraded processor and memory, and a higher megapixel camera."
As far as what's under the hood, it's generally believed that the iPhone 5 will have: an A5 chip, and to help improve the phone's performance, a larger quantity of RAM, an 8 megapixel camera, 1080 video recording capability, a more powerful battery capable of supporting improved performances.
Apple is expected to hold a media event on in a little over a week's time, on Sept. 12 to unveil its next-generation iPhone with a slightly taller 4-inch display. It's anticipated that the device will become available just over a week later, on Sept. 21.
